Autumn Term 

Drawing and Painting (All about us) 

Purpose:-to teach and reinforce the following skills:- 

	- hold and use brush correctly
	- name and identify colours
	- paint lines and shapes to represent people
	- paint human figure, including identifiable 
	  details 

Task: - to paint portrait of someone who helps them 
             that they know. 

Activity: 1) Talk about all the people who help us, how 
                   do we identify them? 

	   2) Individual work- paint portraits. 

	  3) Talk about work- children to explain what 
                 they did. 

Time: 	- 10 mins/ 10-20 mins/ 10 mins 

Assessment: -look for individual skills (see Purpose) 

	          -language skills
