Autumn Term (Families) 

Sculpture 

Purpose:    - to mould and create simple shapes. 

		- develop language to describe structures. 

Task: 	- Face wall-hangings. 

Activity:     1) Draw very simple picture of someone in their family's face. 

	        2) Flatten clay and use picture as template to cut around. 

	       3) Fold top over a piece of string to 
	           create a sort of purse-shape. 

	      4) leave to dry and paint  (white undercoat, then face tone) 

	     5) Make a display with wall hangings. 

Assessment: - development with wall-hangings. 

	          - language development.
