Art Scheme of Work - Year 4

Spring Term 

Textiles 

Purpose:	- cut and apply fabrics and threads with some accuracy. 

		- weave using a wide range of fabric strips and threads. 

Task:	             - make a woven 'basket'. 

Activity:	1) Cut a large circle from card. Cut into sun-shape. 

		2) Select various fabric strips, threads, wool's etc. 

		3) Weave strips around cut-out, pulling up sides into 
                            basket shape. 

Assessment:	- can they weave? 

		 - can they introduce their own pattern?
